Jeffrey M. Washelesky, Psy.D.

Dr. Washelesky is a licensed psychologist based out of Madison, Wisconsin. He specializes in clinical and forensic psychology. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology & Criminal Justice (2010), and a Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology (2013). He received his Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Forensic Psychology in 2018. He completed his APA-accredited predoctoral internship through the Oregon State Hospital - Psychology Internship Program (OSH-PIP) in 2018, and he completed his postdoctoral fellowship in forensic psychology at the South Carolina Department of Mental Health (SCDMH) in 2019. He has been licensed since 2019, and he has been involved in the training and supervision of predoctoral psychology interns, postdoctoral fellows in forensic psychology, and forensic psychiatry fellows since 2020.

Dr. Washelesky is the psychologist on a maximum-security male admission unit at Mendota Mental Health Institute (MMHI). His role at MMHI includes competency evaluations, restoration services, psychological/forensic assessments, consultation, risk assessment, and supervision of interns and fellows. Additionally, he completes forensic evaluations as an independent contractor for the Wisconsin Forensic Unit (WFU) and Clinical Psychology Associates, LLC. Dr. Washelesky has also been an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Medical College of Wisconsin since 2022.

Throughout his career, Dr. Washelesky has completed various forensic evaluations including violence risk assessment, competency to stand trial, criminal responsibility, capacity to conform behaviors, and sexually violent predator (SVP) evaluations (pre-commitment and annual review).
